Saved a boundary

The new young fieldsman, who hadn't been doing too well and was anxious to impress chased the apparently hopeless ball to the long boundary. Breathlessly, he gradually caught up and flung himself full length to stop it crossing the line.

'Did you save the boundary?' called the captain.

'Yes,' panted the fielder.

'You would, said the captain. 'They ran ten!'
